Study Abroad for Health Promotion Majors

AU Abroad, in consultation with the Department of Health Studies offers a selection of programs suited for Health Promotion majors. These programs are recommended on the basis of their academic quality and their relevance to Health Promotion. In addition to the following programs, other options are available through AU Abroad.

The Department of Health Studies recommends that Health Promotion students study abroad during their junior year or during the summer of any school year.

There are no limits of credits that can be applied to the major. The student, however, should receive approval from the academic advisor about credit transfer.  To receive Health Promotion credit for any courses taken abroad, you must have the courses approved by the Department of Health Studies before you take them. Retroactive approvals will not be given.

Internship opportunities may be available to fulfill the internship requirement of the Health Promotion major. Please consult with your academic and study abroad advisors for more details.

Below is a selection of highlighted study abroad options. Some options may have a language prerequisite.  NOTE--The list below includes recommended options only.  Students are not limited to just these programs! For a comprehensive listing of options, complete university descriptions, and course listings, please visit AU Abroad brochure webpages.
