Program Description:

Is this Program Right for You?

This specialized program is for AU's School of Communication (SOC) students who are near fluent in Spanish. Blanquerna School of Communication teaches undergraduate communications courses in Spanish or Catalan with very few also in English.

The Blanquerna School of Communication has three degrees in Communications: 1) Cinema and Television, 2) Advertising and PR and 3) Journalism.
They are an institution of higher education within Ramon Llull University that provides education in the arts, sciences and technical studies alongside professional training and research. The main function of the university is to educate and train journalists, publicists, public relations professionals, and professionals in the fields of cinema and television.

See the two links below for a list of classes on offer.  Classes are limited to the areas of communication and journalism.  Students must already have a near fluent level of Spanish in order to attend the program.  Nearly all of Blanquerna's courses are taught in Catalán, although there are a few in Spanish, and an even smaller amount in English.

Student Life

Blanquerna does not look for accommodation for exchange students, however they do give them information to help them. Blanquerna-URL has agreements with three residence halls. Students enrolled at Blanquerna have preference in the allocation of places available, regardless of the waiting list. Ramon Llull University also offers its students 60 individual apartments and 6 double apartments in the Residence Hall Lesseps managed by RESA.
The average price of a residence in Barcelona may be between 700-800€ everything included.  Visit their page for further details on the available residences.
