With parents of different nationalities (father American, mother Welsh), Sara grew up mostly in Connecticut but also spent several formative years in the U.K. Her first “real study abroad experience” was in France when she was 15. After completing degrees in Music History at Yale and Oxford universities, Sara had several career changes before finally landing in the field of international education administration in 1989. She has been the Director of American University's AU Abroad Office since December 2003. Email Sara.
