Application

Provider deadlines require students to submit all application materials to AU Abroad by March 15 (Fall and full-year programs; please note that this is two weeks prior to our Enclave application deadline) and October 15 (Spring programs).

This specialty program has only 15 spaces each semester, including students from American University and other AustraLearn affiliate schools in the USA. Interested students are encourages to apply early!

In addition to the application materials listed on our Apply page, students are required to submit the following materials for AustraLearn's application:

Visa

Upon acceptance, AustraLearn will provide students with a checklist for the Australian visa application. This will take you through step by step instructions to apply for the visa on-line. /P>

Students from a number of countries which presently include the United States of America, Norway and Sweden are often able to avoid in-person visa applications and be granted a student visa over the internet to study in Australia for up to 12 months. These applicants must be over 18 years of age and applying for visa subclass 573 (Higher Education Sector).

Students are responsible for contacting the nearest Australian diplomatic office as soon as possible after receiving their offer to find out which additional documents are needed to obtain a student visa. Medical checks and X-rays are normally required. It is imperative to allow ample time for the visa application process. For more information please visit the Australian government's visa website.
