International Student Identity Card (ISIC)

The International Student Identity Card (ISIC), issued by STA Travel, is a frequently accepted form of photo identification abroad. This card may also provide access to discounts in a variety of areas: airfare, rail and bus passes, hotels, museum and theater entrance fees, and much more. In addition, the card provides you with basic accident and sickness insurance when traveling outside the United States, though it should not be used as your primary health insurance or accident coverage. Be aware that the ISIC is more useful in some countries than it is in others.

AU Abroad does not issue the ISIC. However, the card can be obtained through any STA Travel issuing office.
