Life in Tokyo
Studying at Waseda puts you right amidst the vibrant, bustling life of Tokyo. Once the world's largest city back in the 18th century, it remains one of the greatest urban and cultural centers of the world. A shopping and dining paradise, Tokyo also offers a wide choice of entertainment, outdoor and indoor, daytime and nighttime. Navigate amidst Tokyo’s sleepless entertainment world and feel the liveliness of this international metropolitan city. It is also a thriving center for traditional arts and culture.
Campus life at Waseda is versatile, fun and fulfilling. There are numerous cultural programs, extra-curricular activities, clubs and sports teams that students can become involved in. Life at Waseda is a very urban experience with university buildings and facilities located right amongst busy Tokyo streets.
Housing and Meals
There are three types of housing offered by Waseda; Homestay, University
Dormitory, and Private Dormitory. Some students choose to live in apartments
which you must arrange independently. Upon acceptance into the One-Year
Study Abroad Program, Waseda will inform you of your housing options. Note, there is limited availability of international student housing.
Students should budget independently for meals.
Schedule
The Waseda University program is available for the
Full Year only. Waseda's Academic Year runs
from late September to late July. Please

for specific program dates.
