University of Melbourne students attend

Prerequisites
Students must have a 3.0 minimum GPA in order to
attend The University of Melbourne. Admission into
some subjects require prerequisites which must be
completed prior to commencing studies at the University
of Melbourne.
Courses
Visiting students will benefit from a wide range
of courses offered in the Faculty of Humanities and
Social Sciences and the Faculty of Science. Many courses
pertain directly to Australia’s significant
location in the Pacific Ocean. Students have the opportunity
to explore the nation’s unique geography, culture,
and economy while earning full credit towards an American
University degree. Programs cover all the major disciplines
with expertise in the Sciences, Education, Engineering,
Architecture, Humanities and Australian studies. Pre-Med
and Nursing programs are available as well as a range
of internships offered by The Faculty of Arts.
Study Abroad students are welcome to take subjects
in up to four faculties. A full schedule should consist
of 50 points per semester, or four 12.5 point subjects.

Students sometimes arrange their own internships
independently based upon personal contacts. Students
must obtain prior approval from their academic advisor
to receive major credit for their internship abroad.
