Prerequisites
Students must have at least junior standing and a minimum GPA of 3.0 in order to attend this program.
Prior course work in African studies is highly recommended.
Courses
UCT has expansive academic offerings, allowing students
to pursue the academic courses necessary to satisfy
AU major and minor requirements. Studying abroad in
Cape Town allows students to earn credit towards their
AU, while providing firsthand knowledge of contemporary
South African life and society. Courses may be taken
in all University of Cape Town faculties excluding
Health Sciences. Courses in the Law faculty are only
offered at the post-graduate level. Please consult
the
UCT website for more detail on course offerings.
AU grants credit ONLY for the "Arts & Science"
program of CIEE-UCT.
