Prerequisites
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required to participate in this program.
Courses
AU students directly enroll in the University College
Dublin for either a semester or for a full year and
earn AU credit. AU students are completely integrated
into life at UCD, taking classes together with Irish
and international students. As a student directly
matriculating at UCD, you can choose from an extensive
course catalog. Students enroll in typically five
courses per semester (five is the traditional workload
for an Irish student). Students apply to and take
courses from one of the following schools: Faculty
of Arts, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Commerce,
or Faculty of Agriculture. The popular Faculty of
Arts offers a range of courses in history, English
literature, languages, politics, economics, geography,
classical studies, music, philosophy, sociology/social
policy, and mathematics/statistics. When students
apply for admission to study at UCD, they apply to
one Faculty where they take all of their courses.
Information on the different Faculties can be found
at UCD's website.
Information on the various course offerings can
be found here
(click Modules tab).
Students interested in business courses should
review information at the UCD Quinn School of Business
program here.
