Application, Visa & Costs
Application
Complete application for SACI fall term are due into
AU Abroad by March 15. Application for the summer
terms are due March 1. Applications for the spring
term are due October 15. In addition to the application
materials listed on our Apply
page, students are required to submit the following
materials to AU Abroad:

SACI "Application for Admissions"
- Five original passport-sized photos (with your
name printed on the back of each photo)
- $60 US non-refundable processing fee (money order
or personal check) payable to SACI.
- Official AU Transcript
- Students who wish to pre-register for courses
at the Intermediate or Advanced level must submit
slides, photos, CDs, or videos of work already undertaken
in these areas of study.
SACI has several opportunities for which AU students
may qualify, including the SACI consortium scholarships.

page. The scholarship deadline the fall term is
March 1 and the scholarship deadline
for the spring term is September 21.
Visa Information and Permit to Stay
Possession of a valid student visa and Permesso di Siggiorno (Permit to stay)
is solely the responsibility of the student. The SACI
program will provide the necessary proof of enrollment
required for your student visa and may advise and
assist students with the necessary papers to remain
legally in Italy, but responsibility for obtaining
and maintaining legal status remains with the student.
Students are responsible for contacting the Italian
Embassy or Consulate to find out which additional
documents are needed to obtain a student visa.

Information on program fees for AU Abroad Partners and Providers may be found here. More information on our fees can be found on our Costs page. Students will be responsible for their own room and board. University housing can easily be arranged through the Studio Art Centers International.
