Prerequisites

Two years of college-level French (or the equivalent) are required to attend this program. Three years is recommended.

Courses

Visiting Exchange students have the opportunity to take any of the courses offered at IEP and can choose from an array of subjects in the category of the Cours de Deuxieme Anne (or Second Year Courses). Courses taught in English are listed as "en Anglais". All courses will transfer to AU, provided that the student completes a Course Approval form.

Prior to the commencement of courses, IEP offers a Séminaire d’Integration to orient students on the French academic system and teaching methodologies. Intensive French language training is also included, to prepare students for their immersion into the French language over the course of the semester. The Séminaire d’Integration is normally two weeks before courses begin.

Certificat d’Etudes Politiques

Students applying to study for a full academic year, who speak and comprehend at an advanced level of French, should consider applying for a Certificat d’Etudes Politiques. IEP designed the Certificat for foreign exchange students pursuing a comprehensive curriculum of French politics and foreign affairs.
