Visa Information
When your Acceptance of Offer and appropriate fees are received, Monash
University's Study Abroad Office will send students a Confirmation
of Enrollment form. This eCOE form enables students to obtain a Student
Visa from the nearest Australian Embassy, High Commission
or Consulate.
Students from a number of countries which presently include
the United States of America, Norway and Sweden are often
able to avoid in-person visa applications and be granted
a student visa over the internet to study in Australia for up to 12 months.
These applicants must be over 18 years of age and applying for visa subclass
573 (Higher Education Sector).
Students are responsible for contacting
the nearest Australian diplomatic office as soon as possible
after receiving their offer to find out which additional
documents are needed to obtain a student visa. Medical checks
and X-rays are normally required. It is imperative to allow
ample time for the visa application process. For more information please
visit the Australian
government's visa Web site.
