Life in Oxford

Oxford, England is a beautiful, small city in the English countryside, not far from London. It was made famous for its role as an ancient place of learning. Honey-gold historic buildings, a riverside setting and gardens provide a tranquil balance to a beautiful city centre which is lively all the year round. Oxford is easily accessible from London by daily buses and train.

Students at Lady Margaret Hall enjoy a stimulating social life. All undergraduates at Lady Margaret Hall belong to the Junior Common Room (JCR), which is a thriving student community. The JCR organizes a number of social events throughout the year which are open to students across the University. There are also a variety of other activities, clubs and sports which students can get involved in.

Housing and Meals

Partner students are responsible for making housing and meal arrangements independently. Typically, students are provided with rooms right on the main college site.

Lady Margaret Hall offers good food in their Dining Hall at reasonable prices. Lunch and dinner are available in the College Hall on a self-service system, although once a week a formal dinner is provided for members of the College and their guests. There are also many small shared kitchen areas which permit a limited degree of self-catering.

Schedule

The Oxford program is available for Full Year only.
