If you are looking for an outstanding larger institution which is close to the United States, consider the Monterrey campus of the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), located in Mexico's third largest city (3 million people) only 174 miles from the Texas border. The Washington Post recently called ITESM, or Tec de Monterrey as it is commonly known, a "top-notch university modeled after the Massachusetts Institute of Technology." ITESM has grown from its origins into a nationwide university system currently comprised of 32 campuses throughout 26 Mexican cities. AU Abroad is offering students the opportunity to study on the largest and most famous of these campuses, the Monterrey campus, with 19,000 full-time students. The Monterrey campus has a state-of-the art communications school and a business school which was recently ranked among the world's top 20 by the Wall Street Journal.
