Application
Partner deadlines require students to submit all
application materials to AU Abroad by March
15 (Fall and Full Year programs; please not
that this is two weeks prior to our
Enclave application deadline) and October
15 (Spring programs).
In addition to the application materials listed on
our Apply page, students
are required to do the following for Hebrew University's
application:
Pleases note: All materials for
the Hebrew University application should be dropped
off at the AU Abroad office. Please do not send anything
directly to their office. AU Abroad will collect your
materials and send your complete application to Hebrew
University's Academic Affairs office in NYC.
1. Complete the
On-line Application
2. Submit the following supplemental forms to AU
Abroad:
- Two copies of the on-line application comfirmation
page
- Three passport-sized photographs (affix to the
application form with your name and social security
number written on the back of each photo)
- Two official, sealed academic transcripts
- Two confidential academic letters of recommendation
in sealed envelopes. Use
this form.
- Two copies of your current one-page resume (detailing
academic honors, published materials, extracurricular
or community activities, foreign study, and recent
employment experience)
- Two copies of one-page personal statement (see
application)
- Two photocopies of the inside identification
page of your passport
- Two copies of the Hebrew Placement Exam Answer
Sheet. The Hebrew Placement Exam is designed to
assess Hebrew proficiency, and is used to place
students in the appropriate class according to their
level. The exam should be completed individually,
within one hour, and without using a dictionary.
- Exam
Part 1- Those who do not know any Hebrew should
submit the first page only. All others should submit
all four pages of part 1 and answer as much as they
can.
- Exam
Part 2- Those who completed part 1 should proceed
to the questions in part 2 and circle their answers
on the answer sheet. When submitting the exam, students
should only send the four pages of the first part.
- Two copies of the Medical
Examination Report
- Study
Abroad Approval Form
- Application fee of $60 (plus late fee, if applicable)
made payable to The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Please be sure the applicant's name appears on the
check or money order.

Visa Information
Upon acceptance, Hebrew University will provide students
with a visa letter if required. AU Abroad will distribute
the letters to students. Students are responsible
for contacting the Israeli
Embassy or Consulate to find out which additional
documents are needed to obtain a student visa.
