Courses

AU students directly enroll in Hebrew University for either a semester or a full year and earn AU credit. Hebrew University offers a wide variety of courses, offered mainly in English, in such areas as archaeology, history, literature, philosophy, religion, communications, international relations, political science, psychology, sociology and life sciences. Any combination of courses can be chosen so visiting students have great flexibility in selecting their classes. Course listings and descriptions can be found at Hebrew University's website.

There are also Advanced Seminars available which focus on the Middle East, Israel, Jewish Studies, business and economics, or psychology. Formal academic study is complemented with co-curricular informal activities. Academic seminars are open to students in their junior year who have an academic background in related fields of study. The opening of a seminar is contingent upon a minimum enrollment of qualified students

Students with sufficient knowledge of Hebrew are encouraged to attend departmental Hebrew University classes, and choose from a broad selection of courses in the faculties of Humanities, Social Sciences and Science.

Internships

Students may independently arrange their own internships based upon personal contacts. Students must obtain prior approval from their academic advisor to receive major credit for their internship abroad.

Hebrew University also offers a number of accredited research internships which are available each semester to qualified students through a wide variety of institutions. Information and applications are available from the Hebrew University internship coordinator. Students may register for one internship per semester.
