Application, Visa & Costs

|
UAI’s Viña del Mar campus offers
the beauty and serenity of a coastal town...
the perfect environment for studies.
|
Application
Partner deadlines require students to submit all
application materials to AU Abroad by March 15 (Fall
and Full-year programs; please note that this is two
weeks prior to our Enclave application deadline) and
October 15 (Spring programs). In addition to the application
materials listed on our Apply
page, students are required to submit the following
materials for UAI's application.
- UAI
Application
- Curriculum Vitae (résumé)
- Official academic transcript, in Spanish or English
- 4 passport-size photos
Visa Information
Upon acceptance, on-site staff in Chile will provide
students with an acceptance letter for visa purposes.
Either UAI or AU Abroad will distribute the letters
to students. Students are responsible for contacting
the Chilean Embassy
or Consulate to find out which additional documents
are needed to obtain a student visa.
Students should be aware that one requirement of
the Chilean Student Visa application is a federal
level background check. This background check can
take at least 8-10 weeks to obtain after submitting
the request to the proper office.
The FBI
Identification Record website provides detailed
instructions on how to apply. Students are responsible
for obtaining this background check far enough in
advance to avoid delays in submitting the student
visa application to the Chilean Embassy.
