Chile is one Latin America's most interesting countries in terms of
both professional activities and tourism. On the verge of signing a free
trade agreement with the European Union and in the process of negotiating
a free trade agreement with the United States, Chile is staking its
claim as a key strategic business center in South America.
Chile boasts some of the world's most breathtaking landscapes, many
of which remain untouched by man. It is a country of stark contrasts,
with deserts, icebergs and the Andes Mountains, as well as excellent
ski resorts and stunning views of the Pacific. Its culinary credits include
sumptuous wines and excellent food, including fresh fruit and vegetables
and seafood, which make up a large percentage of the country's exports.
Additionally, Chile enjoys a pleasant Mediterranean climate, with stable
year-round temperatures and an excellent summer, which including the
rest of its characteristics, make it a truly unforgettable destination.
Students attend classes at the Universidad
Adolfo Ibañez (UAI), an institution accredited by The Association
to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). Students
may choose from two of UAI’s campuses: the Peñalolén
campus in the suburbs of Chile’s capital, Santiago, or the Recreo
campus in Viña del Mar, Chile. Santiago, a city of five million,
is bordered by the spectacular snow-capped Andes Mountains
to the east and the nearby Pacific Ocean to the west. In
either case, international students enjoy a week of orientation
in Viña del
Mar, a scenic location in which to be introduced to Chilean
culture.
