Life in Canberra
Canberra is home to several universities, making
it an attractive city for students and young adults.
The city is said to have more restaurants per capita
than any other city in Australia serving up delicious
cultural cuisine. Canberra also caters to students
by having a thriving nightlife - whether it be clubs,
cinemas, or theaters. Students can easily get around
Canberra with the city's bus system, or they can take
a train ride to Sydney for a weekend vacation. Endless
opportunities and possibilities exist for students
in Australia's capital.
Find out more information on ANU's Visiting
Student's Program website.
Housing and Meals
Living in a University affiliated Hall or College
provides great opportunities to meet many people from
all over the world, in addition to local Australians.
Students who are accepted to attend the ANU must submit
a housing application on-line through the University
Accommodation Services website. Accommodation on campus
includes single rooms with all modern conveniences
and the option of fully-catered living, which is available
in some locations. While every attempt will be made
to assist you to find a place in the University's
student accommodation facilities, accommodation is
limited and students should apply well in advance.
Further details and descriptions of the residences
are available at the Halls
and Colleges web site.
