In addition to the application materials listed on
our Apply page, students are required to submit the
following materials to AU Abroad:
Visa Information
The YCMES staff will assist students with teh visa
process. Non-US citizens are encouraged to check with
all relevant embassies to be aware of any special
circumstances or requirements. More information about

Costs

The program fee includes: 1. Instruction: consisting
of 4 hours of class per day, 5 days per week, for
5 weeks with classes being capped at eight students
per class. All class materials except Al-Kitaab are
provided; 2. Two meals per day: we offer breakfast
and lunch, five days per week, Saturday through Wednesday;
3. Housing: A shared room in one of the Yemen Language
Center's housing facilities; 4. Round Trip Airfare:
Special, Discounted RT Airfare by Yemenia, from New
York, Boston, or Washington, DC; 5. Services: High-Speed
internet, comprehensive library, health services,
24-hour on-call emergency staff, airport transportation,
lecture series on Islam, History, Politics etc., projection
theater, visa services, travel arrangements, and more;
6. Excursions: One four day excursion to Hadhramout
(or similar excursion if Ma'rib is closed) and 2 day
trips to historical sites in Yemen.
