Beyond the classroom, attend a workshop to learn Mexican guitar!

You will receive six American University transferable credit hours in Spanish. An on-line language examination is required of prospective students to ensure their proper placement in the program. Beginning-level students take two classes in Spanish Grammar and Communication. Intermediate-level students may take one grammar class and one content-based course, chosen from the following:

• Business Communication
• 20th Century Mexican Literature
• Mexican Politics
• Mexican Civilization

For advanced level students, the following optional intensive course of three modules may be taken in place of the content-based courses:

• Mexico Past and Present: History of Mexico
• Arts and Culture
• Trade Agreements

Internships

UDLAP offers internship placements with local companies and non-profit organizations for the following areas of study:
