Life in Beirut
Lebanon offers a wide range of activities with numerous
historical sites, cultural events and lively nightlife.
The summer
program includes numerous trips around Beirut
and other areas of Lebanon. Participants may visit
sites of historical interest such museums, archaeological
sites and monuments. Cultural activities include trips
to art exhibitions and the theatre, while visits to
markets, shops, cafes and restaurants will help familiarize
participants with Lebanese local culture and dialect.
Please note that the cost of field trips outside Beirut
is not included in the cost of the program and that
students should budget accordingly.
Housing and Meals
Partner students are responsible for making housing
and meal arrangements independently. Accommodation
in the student dorms on the campus of AUB is provided
for all participants in the summer language program.
The university will organize free transportation to
and from the airport. Students are responsible for
their own meals.
