Application, Visa & Costs
Application
Partner deadlines require students to submit all
application materials to AU Abroad by February
15 (Summer Programs). In addition to the
application materials listed on our Apply
page, students are required to submit the following
materials for the AUB’s application.
- AU
Beirut Summer Application Form
- An official copy of the latest university transcript.
- Two passport-size photographs (with full name
printed on back of each)
- Two Recommendation Letters:
Students applying to the introductory level should
attach two copies of Rec
Form 2.
Students applying to the high introductory level
and above should attach one copy of Recommendation
Form 1 and one copy of Recommendation
Form 2.
- Students applying for the High introductory level
or above should submit a copy of the latest Arabic
language exam taken or a writing sample in Arabic
(150-200 words), introducing yourself and discussing
the experience you had while studying the Arabic
language.

Visa Information
Upon acceptance, AUB will provide students with
a visa letter if required. AU Abroad will distribute
the letters to students. Students are responsible
for contacting the Lebanese
Embassy or Consulate to find out which additional
documents are needed to obtain a student visa. More

Participants are advised to obtain the appropriate
visas for Lebanon and neighboring countries they plan
to visit from embassies in their country of residence.
Visas issued at the Lebanese borders are only valid
for one month; however, you may obtain from the embassy
in your country a two months visa, necessary to secure
your stay in Lebanon through out the program. Participants
who plan to visit neighboring countries are advised
to obtain a multiple entry visa to Lebanon . Please
note that passport holders with an Israeli stamp on
their passports will be denied entry into both Lebanon
and Syria .
