The internship program requires placement with a home
stay, in order to improve for students to improve French
language skills and integrate into French cultural life.
Hosts live all around the city and would normally be
less than a 40-minute commute from the site of the internship.
Meals
Students are provided with breakfast ONLY, as part
of the program fee. Student interns normally eat lunch
near the office. Dinners with home stay families can
be added at an additional cost.
Excursions
An onsite orientation, welcome reception and city
tour of Paris are included as part of the program.
In addition, EUSA will provide a basic social program
that will be available to students during the course
of the program including optional group excursions.
Schedule
There are 2 tracks for Paris Summer Interns. Enrollment
in Track 1 for all students is highly recommended;
Track 2 is an alternative track for students studying
abroad in Paris or elsewhere during the Spring semester.

The on-campus orientation and interview will
be at American University in March 2008. Time and

June 2 to June 13- Two-week intensive French language
course, confirmation interviews
June 16 to July 25- Professional practice internship
June 16 to July 25- Directed study course
July 25- Farewell reception
July 26- Departure from housing
Track 2: June 11 to July 26, 2008
June 11- Arrival to housing (housing available)
June 12- Academic orientation
June 13- Confirmation interviews
June 16 to Friday, July 25- Professional practice
