AU students now can experience this extraordinary country firsthand through study abroad at Sogang University.

Sogang University, located in downtown Seoul, is one of Korea's top universities and holds AACSB Accreditation. The institution was originally established by the Society of Jesus to provide an education based on Catholic belief and inspired by the Jesuit educational philosophy, in conformity with the Korean tradition of education. Sogang offers an excellent program for international study abroad and exchange students.

Located on campus, Gonzaga International Student Hall accommodates up to 900 students in double rooms.  The dorm houses students from all over the world in a multicultural atmosphere.  The dorm hall fee includes two meals a day, breakfast and dinner, except for Saturdays when only breakfast is provided.  The primary language used in the dorm hall is English.

Life in Seoul

Sogang-Deoksungung PalaceSeoul is the center of politics, culture, and economy in Korea. Although Korea has experienced a lot of Western influence in modern history, there are old norms and traditional culture that still persist despite the recent changes. In this sense, Korea provides a particularly advantageous position from which to study the changing culture, economics, and politics of all the nations of the East Asian region.

Sogang University has a beautiful campus right in downtown Seoul. The University provides excellent facilities, numerous clubs and activities for international students and housing in dorms right near campus.

More information on housing, student life and the academic calendar at Sogang can be found at the Sogang website.
