Exeter campusThe University of Exeter gives students great academics taught by knowledgeable professors in a one-of-a-kind campus environment. Exeter, in southwest England, has something for everyone, and the University of Exeter offers a range of courses for every interest. In fact, Exeter is one of the most popular and prestigious universities in the UK with one of the most beautiful campuses.  The University is in a small British college town setting in the countryside along the beautiful coast of southwest England only a few hours from London.  AU students can now join the thriving student body at Exeter and directly enroll to take courses.

    * A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required for participation in this program.

 
Courses

Exeter sceneAU students directly enroll at Exeter for either a semester or for a full year and earn full AU credit. A typical course load at Exeter is usually four courses which equates to 16 credits.

The University of Exeter has more than 15 departments that students can study with while abroad. These schools offer courses ranging from English literature to biological studies; from Italian to accounting. AU students will be able to choose from a wide-range of courses from the University's course catalog.

Life at Exeter

Exeter studentsThe University of Exeter is located in the charming Devon County. The campus is close to the beach and the beautiful countryside, as well as a small student-friendly city with plenty of things to do. International students will have the chance to live and study closely among British students during their time abroad.

Housing and Meals

Exeter has something for everyone, from catered Halls of Residence, self-catering flats and shared houses, to self-contained family flats.

The staff in the Accommodations Office deal with both University-owned and private rented accommodation. They are happy to help with any queries or problems students may have relating to accommodation during your time as a student at Exeter.

Fall Semester: late September to mid January (note: there is a possible option for Fall-only abroad students to finish the semester early prior to holidays)
