Application

Students must already have completed SIS 140/140G Cross-Cultural Communication (or, for non-AU students, its equivalent). Along with the standard AU Abroad application materials, students must submit proof of having completed SIS 140/140G or its non-AU equivalent in the form of a transcript or syllabus.

Please see our Apply page for application requirements and materials. After AU Abroad receives a complete application, students will be contacted within two weeks for an interview, the final stage of the Kenya: Nairobi Enclave application.

Students can now study on the Nairobi Enclave program for a full academic year, beginning Fall 2007. Students applying for a full year, should indicate within their Personal Statement that they are doing 2 semesters of study.

This program often fills prior to the general AU Abroad Enclave deadline. Students are encouraged to apply early.

Visa Information

U.S. citizens are required to obtain a visa to enter Kenya. Students will be provided a letter by AU Abroad upon acceptance to the Program. Students are responsible for contacting the Kenyan Embassy or Consulate to find out which additional documents are needed to obtain a visa.

Costs

More information on our fees can be found on our Costs page.
